mayweather-marquez-big-right_2362739Las Vegas, Sep 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It didn’t seem that Floyd Mayweather Jr. was returning to the ring after almost a span of two years as the boxer punished his opponent Juan Manuel Marquez, thus earning a win in the match that lasted for 12-long-rounds. Mayweather, whose much anticipated return to the ring was speculated by many outclassed Marquez with his sheer energy and prowess in the ring.

The win therefore adds another feather to his cap, as the boxer remains unbeaten 40-0 with 25 wins inside the distance. According to the sources, Marquez fell to 50-5-1 with the defeat, in the non-title welterweight boxing, that witnessed Mayweather’s anticipated return which the latter marked with a victory. Within the second round of the match, Mayweather knocked Marquez down, a set back that put Marquez down throughout the match. Mayweather always gained the upper hand, landing serious bout of punches at his opponent hailing from Mexico. Mayweather’s last fight prior to this match was against England’s Ricky Hatton in the year 2007, which the former won by a TKO. “I have been off for two years, but I can get better,” Mayweather said.

The six time world champion of five different weight divisions never seemed rusty during the entire much as he proved yet again as he is still one of the best boxers in business, if not the best of them. The boxer repeatedly threw his jabs at Marquez. The Mexican was left clueless as he succumbed to Mayweather’s lightning speed. Marquez never seemed comfortable throughout the match and went on to lose the match with an unanimous decision.
