Los Angeles, Jan 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is more reason why boxing promoters would want a Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao bout to come on. In a new estimate, the Long Beach Boxing Examiner has revealed that a fight between the two boxers could fetch as much as half a billion dollars.

That much is what a fight between the two will come up to. The website claimed that if Pay-Per-View viewers are charged $89.99 to watch that fight, the 3.5 million viewers will take the total to $300 million. That is how much only Pay-Per-View will bring in. Adding the ticket sales and the sponsorship will push the total earnings to the $500 million mark, the website estimates.

Reports say the fight is being held up by disagreement on how to share the proceeds. NBC Sports report that Mayweather’s camp has offered Pacquaio a guaranteed $40 million cash which means Mayweather will keep the Pay-Per-View purse. That offer, according to the website, has been turned down. Pacquiao’s camp is reportedly asking for a 50/50 split of the proceeds.

The offer from Mayweather’s camp got Pacquiao’a trainer Freddie Roach to call the boxer “a puss.”
