Matt SzczurDec. 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Matt Szczur of the University of Villanova put up a spectacular performance in the game against the University of Montana that was held on the Dec. 18, Friday. The offensive player scored two touchdowns, and ran 68 receiving yards. By the end of the match, he had scored 1569 points. It may safely be said the win of the University of Villanova against the University of Montana was largely due to the performance of the player. In fact, it can be said that it was his touchdowns that led Villanova to this spectacular victory that gave the University the national title of the Football Championship Subdivision.

To be totally fair, it was not expected of Matt Szczur to put up such a great game. In fact, all throughout the first half of the game, he had been rather quit, but in the second half, he was obviously absolutely in his element. The Lower Cape May Regional High School graduate made 12 carries, was responsible for four of the catches that were made and at the end of the match went home with the Most Outstanding Player Trophy.

However, there might be some bad news for the University of Villanova football team. It might be possible that the match against the University of Montana was the last football match that he had played, for the multi-talented athlete is also a player of the Wildcats baseball team. As he has been drafted once more in the major league team in this season, it is possible that he might quit playing football altogether and opt for a profession in baseball.
