Massa to return with karting in November
September 25th, 2009 - 8:06 pm ICT by IANSSao Paulo. Sep 25 (DPA) Felipe Massa will return to motor racing in a charity karting event in his native Brazil in November as the Ferrari driver continues his recovery from head injuries sustained in July during qualifying for the Hungarian Formula One Grand Prix.
“I’m going to take part again in the International Challenge of the Stars,” said Massa, 28 in a promotional video.
Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello are also scheduled to take part in the event.
Although Massa has stated his hope of competing in his home Brazil GP on October 18 in Sao Paulo, Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo has gone on record as saying he does not expect the 28-year-old to be back until next year.
