New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) Khel Ratna awardees - boxer M.C. Mary Kom and wrestler Sushil Kumar - have been signed by the sports management company Infinity Optimal Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (IOS Sports) for four years.
As per the agreement, the company will coordinate their endorsements, media activities, rights, brand management and their overall growth as an athlete.

Beijing Olympic bronze winning boxer Vijender Singh, who alongwith Mary Kom and Sushil received the Khel Ratna award last week, is already managed by IOS.

Sushil, who won the bronze medal in wrestling in the Beijing Olympics, said he is happy with his association with IOS.

“Now I can completely focus on my sport as there are experts to handle all my activities outside the ring,” Sushil said in a statement Tuesday.

Mary Kom, the World No.1 female boxer and a four-time World Boxing Champion, echoed the sentiments.

“I am associated with Gold Quest, a trust which is supporting athletes for training. Now, IOS would be looking after my commercial interest. I feel that both these associations will help realise my dream of an Olympic Gold Medal in 2012,” she said.

Neerav Tomar, chief operating officer of IOS Sports, said: “It gives me great pride and honour to have Mary Kom and Sushil associated with us. Our main focus is into Olympic Sports and other sports than cricket.”

“We would be working towards positioning athletes as brands and target the right groups for endorsement, rights and licenses. We are happy that Sushil is already endorsing three brands Body Fuelz, Sahara and Eicher Tractors.”
