July 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Perhaps Dallas Cowboys tight end player Martellus Bennett could have never thought in his wildest dreams that some exclusive private photographs clicked around four years ago would spread all over the web to cause embarrassment to him and his team. However, that is what is plaguing the player at present. Naked photographs of Martellus Bennett have gone viral on the web after being posted recently, allegedly by his former girlfriend. The player on his part apologized on Monday and issued a written public apology through his team.

The undoubtedly embarrassed Martellus Bennett mentioned in the statement that the pictures that have surfaced over the internet were taken four years ago. He added that the pictures were posted on internet without his knowledge or consent. Martellus Bennett mentioned that he is apologizing because the pictures over the internet are totally inappropriate. The player added that he regrets the embarrassment that the photographs have caused the Dallas Cowboys organization. Martellus Bennett on his statement has not mentioned the name of the person who had probably leaked the photographs over the internet. However, a reputed media source has alleged that the photographs were leaked by a former girlfriend of Martellus Bennett.

Stephen Jones the Dallas Cowboys team executive Vice President said to media sources that he is aware of the pictures but maintained that he has not seen them. Stephen Jones declined to comment on the pictures specifically. Rich Dalrymple, the Dallas Cowboys vice president of communication said that the management will discuss the matter with Martellus Bennett and that he will address it “further on an internal basis”.
