mark stoopsTallahassee, Dec. 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Fans of Florida State University must be happy after some sources stated that the team officials have made a good move and appointed Mark Stoops as the new defensive coordinator of the team. According to the reports, Seminoles would spend their 2010 season under Mark Stoops guidance as he is expected to replace Mickey Andrews, present defensive coordinator of the team.

The FSU team and staffs have a prolonged period of association with Mickey Andrews and finding proper replacement is a bit tough for them. However, their search for new coach ended with Mark Stoops and people are optimistic about the decision of the club officials. Mark Stoops career graph shows him to be a good coach and it is expected that the team would improve under his guidance. He had spent six seasons with Wildcats, where he was a defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator. It is expected that his experience as a coach would benefit the FSU players and improve their performance.

Though the reports of Mark Stoops getting appointed as the defensive coordinator surfaced Wednesday, he has not made any comment on his agreement with the FSU. The officials of the team also did not declare the agreement with their new coach. If sources are true and Mark Stoops gets appointed as the new coach of FSU then also he will be seen in his new jersey from January 2010, after the present defensive coordinator of the team, Mickey Andrews retires from his job on January 1, 2010, after his team plays the Gator Bowl match.
