Oct 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Supermodel Marisa Miller has been named the spokesperson for the NFL in the 2010 season. The model has graced the covers of the Sports Illustrated magazine for years now and is, reportedly, very excited about her new role. She will be promoting the NFL special events in the television as well as print medium.

Marisa Miller revealed in a recent interview after the announcement that she was extremely excited to have the opportunity to partner with the NFL. She also said that she had grown up watching football and was a passionate 49ers fan. A California resident herself, Marisa Miller also made evident her excitement at the upcoming Denver Broncos vs San Francisco 49ers game on Halloween in the UK. She said that she will look to create a new fan base and showcase what a wonderful game American Football is.

According to NFL Vice President Chris Parsons, Marisa Miller’s love for the NFL and the sport made her the most suitable choice for the role. She will remain the Super Fan until at least the Super Bowl in January next year. Though there is some debate about the hiring of the supermodel for a sport like American Football, some experts have called it a positive step for the game. In the UK the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos has been touted to be a rather much awaited clash, thanks to Marisa Miller who has a strong fan base in the UK as well. Marisa Miller has also modeled for Victoria’s Secret and has been one of the reasons for the return of the curvy models to fashion industry.
