Manchester, Oct 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli lifted his jersey to reveal an inner T-shirt that had a question which only he could answer. After scoring against Manchester United on their way to demolishing the champions 6-1 at the Old Trafford, Balotelli raised his jersey and his T-shirt had the words “Why Always Me?”

With what is regarded as the biggest game of the season coming up, Ghanaian-born Italian star Balotelli lighted some fireworks in his bathroom and ended up burning part of the house. Firefighters were called in to put off the blaze at the house in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire.

The officers who responded to the call used nose mask to enter the building and put the fire off. Eyewitnesses say the fire was substantial and could have done worse damage if the firefighters had not responded much earlier. The 21-year-old reportedly told officials at his club that the he was in his house with four other friends and the particular firecracker which resulted in the fire was not lighted by him.

A spokesperson of Manchester City Football Club confirmed the incident with the statement, “We can confirm there was an incident at Mario’s house which the fire brigade attended. Nobody was injured and Mario trained as normal with the rest of the squad on Saturday morning.”
