Maoist attack injure Nepali Congress candidate

Kathmandu, Apr 6 (ANI): Maoists have severely beaten a candidate of Nepali Congress (NC) and other leaders of the party yesterday afternoon.

Severely injured candidate Mukti Prasad Pundit, Megh Raj Bhatta and Narayan BC were admitted to nearby hospital.

According to, the Maoists had assaulted around 30 activists of the NC.

The Maoists attacked them when district chairman of NC affiliated Nepal Tarun Dal gave critical remarks about Maoist chairman Prachanda.

In another incident, one if the NC activists was shot at in Banke. He was shot while he was returning to his home after a publicity campaign of the party.

In yet another incident, the Maoist affiliated YCL severely beat a cadre of Nepali Congress. (ANI)
