Las Vegas, Nov 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Manny Pacquiao took Cotto’s WBO welterweight title and also dispatched him to University Medical Center, Pacquiao. Then he talked about his next fight with any contender desirous of fighting. He said if Mayweather wants to fight him, fine. If not, he’ll find someone who’s willing to fight. “I’ll have Bob Arum negotiate my next fight,” Pacquiao said of the Top Rank chairman. “I’ll fight whoever wants to fight me.”

“It’s a simple negotiation,” HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg said just after Manny Pacquiao defeated world welterweight champion Miguel Cotto twice en route to a 12th-round technical knockout on Saturday. “There’s so much money to be made. If it doesn’t happen, there’ll be a revolt. Nothing else is acceptable.”

Richard Schaefer, who has successfully promoted Mayweather’s previous three fights, looked confident enough that that he’d be able to work with Arum to make a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight come true in the arena.

Schaefer said he planned to speak with Mayweather on Sunday. Pacquiao said, “It’s my job to fight. It’s my promoter’s job to pick the fight.” Asked Schaefer: “Bob and me — how often have we failed to make a big fight?”

Arum said that he would do his utmost to make a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight a reality. But at the same time, if Mayweather’s demands are unrealistic, then the fight could be in jeopardy.
