London, Apr 29 (ANI): Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is happy to let Carlos Tevez wait until after the FA Cup final on May 14 or even until the end of the season to decide on his future with the club.

City knows their Argentinian skipper is likely to push for a move again this summer despite being persuaded to stay on in December.

Tevez has spent two weeks in Italy receiving treatment for a hamstring injury and was strongly linked with Inter Milan and Juventus.

Mancni has warned Tevez that he will not play at Wembley against Stoke next month unless he can prove his fitness, The Sun reports.

Asked about Tevez’s future, Mancini said: “We need to talk but we have time to do this. For now, it’s more important to know when Carlos can play. Hopefully after we win the FA Cup and get in the Champions League we can talk about it.”

Tevez has returned from Milan and will spend the next week trying to build up his fitness.

Mancini wants him to prove his fitness in time to face Everton next Saturday or Tottenham on May 10.

“First he has to be 100 per cent. If we take a risk because we want to play with Carlos and he’s not ready then it can be a big problem for him and for us as well,” Mancini said. (ANI)
