London, Sep 17(ANI): Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has tipped midfielder David Silva for a golden future after the Spaniard kick-started his 26 million pound move to Eastlands.

Silva, who arrived at Eastlands from Valencia, scored an early goal to put City on course for a 2-0 victory in Thursday’s Europa League match against Salzburg.

“For David it is a different situation now, playing different football. But, after one month, he’ll be ready to go 100 per cent for the team,” The Sun quoted Mancini, as saying.

“David is a strong player. He’s played for Valencia in the Champions League for many years, but the Premier League is different and every player needs one or two months to understand English football.”

“David can play in every positon. He played on both wings for Valencia, but I think tonight’s position behind the forward is the best for him,” he added.

The 24-year-old has joined the club on a four-year deal. (ANI)
