London, Apr 15 (ANI): Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has asked his players to unite behind him if they want to win the FA Cup.

Mancini’s City is struggling against a backdrop of player unrest.

James Milner was the latest to show his disappointment publicly when substituted at Anfield on Monday, The Sun reports.

Mancini said it would be counter-productive ahead of such a big game to let this sort of thing ruin City’s great opportunity.

“It would be stupid, because, like me, the players have a good chance. It’s important for these players. It could be their first trophy. Throughout my career, I always played to win. For them it’s the same. Don’t change,” he said.

Mancini believes if City can see off United at Wembley tomorrow, they will go on and win the final and follow that with even more success next season.

“I’m sure if we get to the final we will win the FA Cup. If we win this trophy, the mentality will change. In the future Manchester City will be an important club in the world,” he added. (ANI)
