London, Aug 6(ANI): Manchester City striker Robinho hopes that manager Roberto Mancini will allow him to stay at Santos.

Robinho ended his six-month loan spell at Santos on Wednesday by helping the club win the Copa Brasil.

The 26-year-old is now due to return to City, but he faces an uncertain future at Eastlands with Mancini planning to bring in striking reinforcements.

“My heart is here and I want to stay, but I have to talk to City. I don’t want this to be my last experience with Santos. But over the past months I haven’t spoken with Mancini and I don’t know what his intentions for me are,” The Sun quoted Robinho, as saying.”I’ve got to get to Manchester to personally convince him and the City directors that the best solution would be to let me stay here until the end of the year. It all depends on them - my deal is with them,” he added.

Meanwhile, Santos President Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro remains hopeful that Robinho will persuade City to let him return to the club.

“Robinho’s future depends on City and God, but we will fight for another loan,” he added.

Robinho’s 32.5 million pound contract with City runs until 2013. (ANI)
