London, Nov 27 (ANI): The boss’s hair at top soccer club’s turns grey within six years due stressful nature of the job, new research has shown.

Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger and ex-England boss Sir Bobby Robson have all fallen victims to their stressful jobs.

Stress points in a manager’s career sparks off hair discolouration, researchers have discovered.

Former Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan’s legendary bouffant started greying during the 1995/96 season, The Sun reports.

Keegan, 58, saw his team blow a 12-point Premiership lead to finish second to Man United.

While Sir Alex, 67, started to go grey in the 1994/95 season as United lost their title to Blackburn Rovers and star striker Eric Cantona was banned for eight months after assaulting a Crystal Palace fan.

The study carried out by makers of cult computer game Football Manager 2010 shows it takes an average 312 weeks for a modern manager’s hair to turn grey.

Football Manager studio director Miles Jacobson said: “Being a manager is more stressful than ever, with millions of fans baying for their blood every time they drop a point - and that is clearly reflected in their hair colour.” (ANI)
