London, Nov 28 (ANI): Ace defender Rio Ferdinand believes that Manchester United will see off the challenge of arch-rivals Chelsea to win a fourth Premier League crown in a row.
The Blues have not won the title since 2006, but lead the way this season and show no signs of faltering.
Ferdinand, who is battling back from injury, says United are not fazed by Chelsea’s challenge.
Speaking at a charity evening for his Live the Dream Foundation, he said: “You just have to look at our squad to see why we can win it again.”
“I look around our dressing room and think I wouldn’t swap any of our players. They are giving their all for this. For the last three years we have been the champions and I believe we will do it again,” The Sun quoted Ferdinand, as saying.
He refused to put a timescale on his return to action as his teammates prepared for today’s date away to basement club Portsmouth.
He also revealed how Michael Owen was blown away by the motivational powers of Alex Ferguson.
“Michael has heard a few managers but when he came out having heard the boss he said ‘Bloody hell’. He was amazed,” Ferdinand said. (ANI)
