London, Nov.5 (ANI): Manchester United are counting on Wayne Rooney to celebrate the birth of his son with a goal against Chelsea on Sunday. The Sun quoted left-back Patrice Evra, as saying: “I hope he can celebrate really well with a goal on Sunday. He sent me the picture and it was very nice, he is very happy. It’s good for Wazza as you are more mature after you get a baby.”
Team boss Alex Ferguson said: “His energy and confidence was very high. He makes an impact.”
Evra said: “If you ask me the one game I want to win above all others each season, it is the game at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.” Despite beating Chelsea on penalties in the Champions League final in 2008 and three successive Premier League titles, United go into Sunday’s game as underdogs.
Evra and Co will be up against the fearsome strike pairing of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka on Sunday and will need to defend much better than they did in Tuesday’s 3-3 draw with CSKA. (ANI)
