London, May 4(ANI): Manchester City is believed to be keen on making 50 million pounds from the sale of captain Carlos Tevez, should he choose to make a move away from the club during the summer.
According to The Independent, City believes that the striker’s development in the past two years has now placed him in the same price bracket as Chelsea’s Fernando Torres.
Tevez has scored 51 times in 82 games for the club, including 19 goals from 28 appearances in the Premier League this season, and still has three years remaining on his contract.
The 27-year-old is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and is fighting to return in time to play a part in the FA Cup final against Stoke City. (ANI)
