Man City bosses ditch Feng Shui
May 15th, 2010 - 5:06 pm ICT by ANILondon, May 15 (ANI): After the ancient Chinese superstition failed to help Manchester City qualify for the Champions League, club bosses have ditched the use of Feng Shui.
Billionaire owner Sheikh Mansour has ordered his staff to dig up mystic charms buried under the pitch by former club chief Thaksin Shinawatra, The Sun reports.
The ex-Thai PM placed magic crystals and porcelain elephants there in 2008.
Their arrangement was meant to energise players and create harmony at the City of Manchester stadium.
But they didn’t bring the expected success for Carlos Tevez and other City stars, as the club finished fifth in this year’s Premier League, the paper reports.
Some superstitious fans want the charms to stay. One said: “We can’t complain about home form the last couple of years that’s for sure.” (ANI)
