Mamata Banerjee congratulates Team India on their World Cup victory

New Delhi, Apr 3(ANI): Union Railways Minister Mamta Banerjee on Sunday congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the coveted World Cup.
The Ministry said that it would give lifetime ‘1st AC’ complementary passes to the victorious team members
“In recognition of the spectacular achievement of India in the World Cup, Ministry of Railways has decided to give lifetime 1st AC complementary passes to the members of the winning team,” The Ministry said in a statement.
“The passes will be available to players along with one companion for unlimited free travel from anywhere to anywhere in the country on Indian Railways,” it added.
India won the title by beating Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
With this win, India has become the first nation to win the World Cup on home soil. (ANI)
