Malouda backs ‘champions’ Chelsea to thrash Manchester City and Arsenal

London, Sep 21(ANI): Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has said that his club would continue their incredible start to the Premier League season by beating Manchester City and Arsenal.
Runaway league leaders Chelsea have won all five of their games this season, scoring a whopping 21 goals in the process.
“People don’t believe what we’ve done so far has been great because they say we’ve had easy matches. So maybe these games will show we are ready for any kind of opposition,” The Sun quoted Malouda, as saying.
“It could be an opportunity to prove we are the champions and will defend our title at any price,” he added.
City had recorded a shock double over the Blues last season, but Malouda said: “Those defeats could be an extra motivation for us.”
“City have improved their squad. Our challenge is to win there - their players will see this as a chance to show they are ready to fight for the title,” he added.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men face City at Eastlands on Saturday, before hosting Arsenal on October 3. (ANI)
