maciNov 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In what was one of the dullest fights seen in the UFC in recent years, Maiquel Falcao made a UFC that many fans will want to forget. In spite of winning the match, Maiquel Falcao got boos from the audience which were left waiting for action for most of the fight. The three round decision favored Maiquel Falcao but if given a choice, the audience would have declared both of them losers. Considering that this was the debut fight in the UFC for Maiquel Falcao, fans are hoping that he will be more aggressive and experimental in the next fight.

The first round set the tone for the rest of the fight. The two fighters merely danced around in the ring and had very little contact till the third minute. To the relief of the action-starved audience, Maiquel Falcao landed a blow and then followed it up with a series of strikes that sent Gerald Harris to the mat. Soon the Brazilian locked in on a rear choke but Gerald Harris managed to hold on till the end of the round. Interestingly, Gerald Harris appeared as if he thought that the fight was over till he was guided to his corner.

The second round had more action than the first one and Maiquel Falcao landed a number of strikes in quick succession. Gerald Harris tried to get him by his knee but the Brazilian proved to be too quick for him and had his back in no time. He made another rear naked choke attempt but Gerald Harris shook him off and the two fighters got back on their feet again. Gerald Harris tried a rather lazy takedown in the round but the bell rang before it materialized. In the third round, the fighters rarely engaged and loud boos were heard from the audience.
