Los Angeles, Dec 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) LSU continue to lead the BCS rankings. Sanford Cardinal continued to hold on to their position at the fourth place with Alabama tightening their grip on the second position. Oklahoma finds themselves at the third position while Oregon completes the top five.

The complexity of the rankings favored Alabama this week. Coach Nick Saban in an interview with ESPN ahead of the official release of the rankings said that, “If you want the best two teams in college football to play then there has to be a format to decide that. If you want a regional game that matches up people from different parts of the country you can’t say `Let’s have the best two teams play.’ It’s not really up to me. I can’t really be objective here. We do have a dog in this hunt. That’s my opinion.”

Arkansas moved up to occupy the sixth position. Boise State is at the seventh position while Kansas State finds themselves at the 8th position on the rankings. South Carolina and Wisconsin completes the top ten rankings.
