Atlanta, Sep 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Louisiana State University were able to register a convincing victory over the North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game which was held on Saturday night. Despite the fact that North Carolina went into the game facing many odds such with sic of its starters on defense missing, the Tar Heels were able to deliver quite a stunning performance but ultimately things failed to go in their favor as the Tigers defeated their opponents with the score of 30-24.

One of the players who played a pivotal role in ensuring that his team turned out to be the ultimate winner was LSU player Patrick Peterson who had 257 yards which also included an 87-yard touchdown which enabled his team to take a 30-10 lead during halftime. Without the junior cornerback it would not have been possible for the Tigers to clinch victory over their opponents. One of the turning points of the show was Jheranie Boyd was after the defense of the Tigers for a 97-yard touchdown catch to pull the Tar Heels within 30-17 of the fourth quarter. Apart from Patrick Peterson who lead his team’s win, sophomore receiver Russell Shepard was another player who contributed immensely in the game.

Although when the Tar Heels faced the LCU’s Tigers on Saturday night at the Georgia Dome during the NCAA college football game, the former were without 13 players, still North Carolina were able to give a tough fight to their opponents. However, the Tigers were successful in taking over the game and turned out to be the winner.
