Love-rat Wayne Rooney faces furious in-laws
September 26th, 2010 - 2:05 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sep 26 (ANI): Ashamed over his vice girl stint, Wayne Rooney for the first time faced the wrath of his in-laws.
The Man Utd striker grovelled to Coleen’s parents after his wife ordered him to apologise face to face at their McLoughlin’s house in Huyton, Merseyside.
Friends say he is so tormented that they fear for his well-being and once considered as a cocky star now barely speaks in the dressing room.
Rooney spent around 40 minutes with Colleen’s parents, Tony, 50, and Colette, 46, who are devout Catholics and are angry that Rooney cheated while their daughter was pregnant.
“If they are going to save their marriage then it’s going to be on her terms. Part of it is having to face up to what he’s done and apologise to her parents. There’s going to be tension between them for a long time, but that’s something Wayne has to put up with. If he wants his marriage to work he’s not only going to have to win over Coleen, but also Tony and Colette,” News of The World quoted an insider as saying.
However, most of Rooney’s friends have maintained that he’s filled with remorse and struggling to dope. (ANI)
