marLos Angeles, Mar 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The city of Los Angeles is gearing up for the Los Angeles marathon which is scheduled to take place on Sunday. This year would mark the 25th anniversary of the mega event which is being held in the city every year since, 1986.

It has been revealed that around 25,000 enthusiastic participants are going to run in the gala event which would be following a brand new “Stadium to Sea” route this year. At the same time, anticipation regarding this year’s marathon has been skyrocketing as organizers have announced that for the first time in the glorious history of the event, the new route would take the marathon outside the limits of the city and it would witness a ‘landmark in every mile’. The marathon would commence from the Dodger Stadium and would make its way through downtown while heading towards West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Ultimately the race would reach its climax at the Pacific Ocean.

It has come to light that the new route of the marathon has been taken into consideration in order to give a boost to the declining interest in the event among the city residents. The makeover in the marathon has been undertaken by the marathon’s new owner. Meanwhile, the landmarks that the participants in the event are likely to pass include City Hall, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, Capital City Records, Santa Monica Pier, among others. The participants are surely looking forward to run in the race as the new route would provide them with a completely different experience.
