Lok Sabha congratulates Sachin on 169th Test cap

New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS) The Lok Sabha Wednesday congratulated batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar for his “unique achievement” of playing a record 169 cricket Test matches.
“The is unique achievement and he is a source of inspiration for budding cricketers,” Speaker Meira Kumar said. Members reciprocated by thumping their desks.
Sachin’s 169th Test cap came Tuesday when he took to the field for the third Test between India and Sri Lanka at Colombo. He surpassed the record held by Australia’s Steve Waugh.
