London, Feb.11 (ANI): Denmark and Liverpool center-half Daniel Agger has rapped Spaniard and ex-Reds star Fernando Torres for being disloyal to the club that nurtured him.
“It is unacceptable to play for one of Liverpool’s arch-rivals. For a Dane, it’s about having respect for the club you play at,” The Sun quoted Aggers, as saying, days after he elbowed Torres during the latter’s debut for Chelsea FC.
“I am proud to be able to pull on my Liverpool jersey and will never go to another club in England. I will never go to Manchester United or Everton. It’s about respect for the club,” he added.
Agger’s comments will delight Liverpool fans, who are still stunned over Torres’ departure. (ANI)
