Liverpool hopes to rope in Argentine ace Maxi Rodriguez
January 5th, 2010 - 3:52 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, Jan 5 (ANI): Liverpool hopes to complete a deal to bring Argentine ace Maxi Rodriguez to Anfield in the next 48 hours.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder has been told that he can go after falling out of favour.
And last night, Rodriguez’s agent Jurgen Milewski admitted a move is close to being finalised.
“I can say the chances of a transfer are high,” The Sun quoted Milewski, as saying.
Atletico would like the Reds to sign Rodriguez, 29, on a permanent basis for a knock down price as he can leave for nothing in the summer when his contract expires.
But Liverpool wants to take the star on loan for the rest of the season with a view to signing him if he is a success. (ANI)
