Liverpool fans reveal new proposals to oust club’s American owners
July 24th, 2009 - 2:52 pm ICT by ANILondon, July 24 (ANI): Liverpool fans have revealed new proposals to buy out the club.According to The Sun, Liverpool FC and Spirit of Shankly want to oust American chiefs Tom Hicks and George Gillett from Anfield.
They had hoped to raise 500 million pounds from 100,000 fans with each paying 5,000 pounds.
But revised plans mean a share would cost 500 pounds.
The two groups aim to find another 100 million pounds investment from a commercial partner.
Kop bosses are due to complete the refinancing of their debt today. (ANI)
