uscMay 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Percy Miller, better known by his stage names of Romeo and Lil’ Romeo at the USC, has quit from his role of a sophomore guard with the USC, the school reported yesterday. Percy Miller essentially earned his name as the Lil’ Romeo through his career in music and stage performances. Acting is what had made him popular in the first place.

According to reports, Percy Miller was a guard at the Beverly Hills High School before he started his career with the USC. Since the beginning of his stint with the USC the Lil’ Romeo played in a total of nine games for two whole seasons for the USC. He is said to have scored five points for his team and also achieved three rebounds and one assist. However it was his musical career which he took more seriously it seems, which in the end coaxed him to leave the USC Trojans basketball team.

Coach Kevin O’Neill issued the news release on Friday saying that Percy Miller was no longer a part of the Trojans men’s basketball team. Although the reasons for which the player suddenly left his team have not been enumerated, it is being said that Percy Miller left for personal reasons and preferred not discussing them.

The son of rap mogul Master P, Percy Miller was always more popular for his career in music than his career in the game. During the previous season too, the Lil’ Romeo played in only three games, after suffering a sprain in his shoulder. Being more popular as an actor and musician, it was time Percy Miller took a break.
