Lewis Hamilton could leave F1 with McLaren
June 14th, 2009 - 5:21 pm ICT by ANILondon, June 14 (ANI): British Formula One racing driver and world champion Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that he could leave F1 if his team McLaren decides to quit to join a rival series.
“I’ve got a contract with McLaren and I will go wherever they go. That’s the way it is. It is about the FIA and the teams. But it is my job to get in the car and drive,” The News of the World quoted Hamilton, as saying.
Earlier, eight rebel team outfits, including McLaren and lead by Ferrari, had threatened to quit the F1 championship following a dispute with FIA president Max Mosley over costs and how the sport is being governed. (ANI)
