Osasuna won 2-1 at Espanyol with goals from Roland Lamah and Javad Nekounam. Osasuna had defender Eneko Satrustegui sent off but still managed to hold out for the win.
Real Sociedad came off the bottom of the table with a 3-2 win at struggling Real Betis thanks to a late winner from defender Inigo Martinez.
