July 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) LeBron James’ announcement on Thursday night that he would join Miami Heat sparked off frenzy among the fans in Miami as they can look now forward to seeing three greats in the same team. LeBron James said that his decision was about winning and he believed that he could win in the present and the future with the Miami Heat team. He also said that his choice had less to do with the money and more to do with Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade being in the same team. He also revealed that the three of them had earlier decided to play in the same team.

The decision of LeBron James has left the Cleveland Cavalier fans heartbroken. Their sentiments were echoed by the open letter to the fans written by the Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. The Cleveland fans have also shown the anger at the ‘betrayal’ by their own son, LeBron James, by burning one of his jerseys on the city streets.

The letter called LeBron James’ decision a ‘cowardly betrayal.’ It also mentioned that he was hugely disappointed by the developments. The open letter to the fans, however, promised them that the Cleveland Cavaliers will win the championship before LeBron James can win it for the Miami Heat. Dan Gilbert criticized the hype surrounding the player who was regarded as the most coveted among the free agent. The letter, however, did not mention the name of LeBron James but called him other names like the ’self-titled King’. His bitterness about the news was evident in the letter when he said that LeBron James would carry the curse of the Cleveland Cavaliers team when he goes to the Miami Heat side.
