milloyThe Seahawks have come up with a replacement after they made the NFL cuts. The 13 year veteran Lawyer Milloy (aged 35) will take the place of safety Brian Russell.

It is really a brain chilling thing to hear that after the Saturday roster moves, promising veterans Brian Russell and D.D.Lewis have been sacked. Russell had been on the Vikings(2002-04) and the Browns (2005-06). He has the impressive track record of startling 32 consecutive matches for the Seahawks. But looks like the team is seeking well-experienced players, as Russell gets sidelined for having a couple of lesser years on the field than Milloy.

The razor sharp competition is weighing heavily on the NFL careers. Tim Ruskell, the Seahawks President told sources that Russell had been consciously trying to fight and retain his job. While Deon Grant will probably be shifted to suit as free safety, Milloy will take position of strong safety. For Milloy it is time to gloat in happiness, as he reunites with coach Jim Mora.

“It’s official…I’m a Seahawk! Let’s go!!!!,” Milloy blissfully boasted on his Twitter page. The credits of Milloy last season ran with 93 tackles, but that was no reason Atlanta would stop looking for a more youthful replacement. Albeit that was the case, Milloy did not hesitate to put off an offer from the Lions in the beginning of the week. Milloy had commenced the past three seasons for Atlanta, which cut him in February. The player was brought up in Tacoma, Wash., and has played at Washington during his college days.
