Lawrence Taylor Indicted For Having Sex With Underage Girl

June 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Wednesday former NFL Veteran Lawrence Taylor got indicted on more than one sexual assault charges. He was accused of having sex with an underage girl in exchange for money in a hotel in New York based hotel in the early part of the year.
He was accused by a Rockland County grand jury for offenses like rape, sexual abuse, criminal sexual act and also patronizing a prostitute. He was also charged for endangering child welfare. He was arrested in May this year and the 51 year old footballer refuted all the charges slapped on him. He played for the team New York Giants for a decade starting from the year 1981. He was rated among the most aggressive defensive players in the NFL.
Even after he retired from NFL the player got arrested thrice for offenses related to drug and thereafter he got into a rehab program. After his arrest in May the cops said they did not come across any evidence of alcohol abuse in the hotel room. Reportedly he cooperated with the police.
The girl was said to be runaway.
The cops also arrested a man who supposedly acted as her pimp in New York City. If he gets convicted the former NFL player may have to face four years of imprisonment.
Former NFL Veteran Lawrence Taylor denied that he had sex with the girl and also said he did not know her age. His attorney has said that he will contest the case and was expecting an indictment sooner or later. He might try to defend his client saying that he did not have intercourse with the girl.
