Larry Brown Resigns As Charlotte Bobcats Coach

larry-brownDec 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Larry Brown unexpectedly resigned from the post of Charlotte Bobcats coach on Wednesday, only spending a two season stint with the franchise. The 70- year- old Larry Brown’ s stay with Bobcats ended prematurely in almost the same way his other jobs did. Michael Jordan, Bobcats’ chief executive and chairman described the move as a mutual parting. Ad interim, the team has chosen Paul Silas, former Charlotte Hornets coach as their coach and reports inform that he will bring an end to the season.

The Bobcats occupy the fourth place in the Southeast division and are 9- 19 after losing 8 of their last 11 matches. The chairman reported that he had a discussion with the coach two weeks ago regarding the team’s performance and precautions needed to be taken to improve it. Sources reported that both of them again met on Wednesday morning. Inside sources reveal, in their meeting they both agreed to the fact about a required change as the team was not capable to fulfill their expectations. Reports revealed the decision was quite tough for both the eminent personalities yet the change was essential for the betterment of the team. Michael Jordan said Larry Brown would ” continue to be a valuable adviser.”

Since 1972, 13 coaching jobs gifted Larry Brown a remarkable success in weaving coaching career overshadowed by a series of controversial exits and failures. Recalling from past history, Larry Brown inked a contract of 4 years with Charlotte Bobcats in April 2008. The ex- coach of Bobcats declared about his expectation that it would be his full- stop in the bewildering four- decade coaching voyage.
