kyleFlorham Park, Apr 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Boise State cornerback Kyle Wilson on Thursday night was the chosen one to join the New York Jets team. He would be joining a team that already has some of the top cornerback players in it. No doubt the inclusion of Kyle Wilson will strengthen the team’s defense. After the draft pick, the general manager of the New York Jets team, Mike Tannenbaum mentioned that it is perhaps for the first time that the team’s need and the board aligned in the same direction. Both the player and the team management seemed happy with the selection.

Though at the beginning of the draft many draft boards projected Kyle Wilson as one of the top 15 talents, he gradually slipped to the bottom as many players after him were selected. However, the coach of the New York Jets team Rex Ryan who is known for his cornerback affinity did not miss the opportunity to pick the player. Reports claim that he will be starting with the team in the nickel corner that provide him chances to play at the defensive snaps and also at the same time go for the punts and return duties.

Due to his Superbowl performance he was drafted as one of the top players in the NFL draft 2010. Kyle Wilson is considered as an aggressive cornerback, and a good team leader. He has to his credit four interceptions last season. Under Boise State, Kyle Wilson had 11 interceptions and had returned three punts. He is also credited for the leading the Boise State to the Fiesta Bowl victory over TCU.
