Kyle BrotzmanNov 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kyle Brotzman might just be the most hated man for the Boise State Broncos today after his double missed kicks which cost his side the National title. Now the Boise State Broncos become just another team looking for a bowl game. Nevada Football came back from an almost impossible situation to win the game 34-31 at half time when their kicker did not make the same mistake as Kyle Brotzman in the overtime.

After 24 straight wins, the loss has been a heartbreaking one for the fans of the Boise State Broncos especially because it took away the chances of the side competing for a BCS title. Nevada Football made a rather miraculous recovery into the game, that was mostly dominated by the Boise State Broncos in the beginning, by recovering from a 17 point deficit during half time. The disaster for the Boise State Broncos came in the form of the otherwise efficient kicker Kyle Brotzman who missed a relatively easy goal from 26 yards during the end of the regulation time and another during overtime from 29 yards.

Nevada Football on the other hand did not miss out on the opportunities as their new kicker Anthony Martinez who sent home a 34-yard in overtime that saw huge celebrations in the crowds. Chris Peterson, the Boise State Coach said that it was tough for his team and the game should not have come down to the wire. He said that the two teams were equally matched but his team gave away the strong advantage that it enjoyed in the first half of the game. Nevada Football were down 24-14 when the game went into the last quarter and even then it looked like the Boise State Broncos’ winning streak would remain unbroken.
