Arsenal London, Apr. 15 (ANI): Stan Kroenke’s first massive task as Arsenal owner is to keep hold of Cesc Fabregas.Arsenal’s skipper could not hide just how badly he wants to secure a return to Barcelona while speaking as guest of honour in a documentary about his big pal Gerard Pique.

Shot in Pique’s house in Barcelona, the TV programme provided a striking insight into how Cesc is aching for a return home.

Barca defender Pique has been Fabregas’ sidekick for nigh on 15 years since they met as nine-year-olds at the Catalan giants’ academy.

Last summer, the midfielder, 24, demanded a transfer in a showdown with Emirates boss Arsene Wenger.

In the end, the Gunners priced him out of a move but he is clearly still desperate to return.

In the documentary, Pique said: “If Cesc wants to end up at Barcelona, and I think he has the desire to do it one day, then he will wear the Barcelona shirt.”

Pique left Barca to join Manchester United but returned after failing to become a regular at Old Trafford.

Under Pep Guardiola he is now regarded as one of the top centre-halfs in the game.

Fabregas said: “When I saw Gerard sign for Barcelona and shaking the hand of president Joan Laporta, I felt so much joy. It was one of those things that you see and you have to try not to get emotional. It was beautiful to see him return.” Those last words will tell American Kroenke all he needs to know about Fabregas’ real feelings. (ANI)
