December 24th, 2009 - 3:25 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Durban (S. Africa), Dec. 24 (ANI): Kevin Pietersen has claimed he has buried the hatchet with his former nemesis Graeme Smith, and is now on a mission to win over fans in South Africa, ten years after quitting the cricket to play for England.KP and Smith used to be sworn enemies after Pietersen turned his back on his homeland and defected to England.
But Pietersen insists Smith has mellowed and the pair now tolerate each other. The Sun quoted KP, as saying: “I have a fantastic relationship with the South African players, I don’t have a single problem on the field. I have played with Mark Boucher, Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn in the IPL. And Smithy’s calmed down and turned into a really good guy.” (ANI)
