Berlin, Nov 13 (IANS) Miroslav Klose has returned to the German squad for Tuesday’s friendly match against the Netherlands after missing the friendly against Ukraine owing to an inflamed tendon in his left knee.
The 33-year-old could be paired up front with Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez in what would be an experiment by coach Joachim Loew.
Loew usually prefers to start with one striker up front, Xinhua reported.
Loew also welcomed the return of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and midfielder Marco Reus, who both sat out the 3-3 draw with the Euro 2012 co-hosts Ukraine, the former being rested and the latter because of flu.
