Wellington, Dec.15 (ANI): This years New Zealand College Games will best be remembered for one young Hamilton golfer.
Thirteen-year-old Agni Bhorkar didn”t receive a medal but had the most memorable weekend.
He started the games off on Thursday with a fantastic hole-in-one at Lochiel Golf Club. He wasn”t pleased with his score of 86, but was obviously rapt with his first ace.
Then on Saturday he shot the low round of his life, 75, at Ngaruawahia. Another strong round of 77 left him happier than ever before.
“It was awesome, I was quite stoked,” stuff.co.nz quoted Bhorkar as saying after not being able to see the ball go in the hole when it happened on Thursday.
“Everyone knew I was the guy who got a hole-in-one on Thursday, so when I got another one they called me a tin-arse.”
More than 3000 athletes from more than 250 schools throughout New Zealand competed in the games over the past four days and 877 medals were given out. (ANI)
