Kevin Pearce Suffers Serious Head Injury

Utah, Jan.01, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kevin Pearce, who is named among the most talented snowboarders has reportedly suffered an injury during a training session on Thursday. He is noted among the strong contenders for Olympic games and his critical head injury has worried his supporters. According to the reports, the 22 year old snowboarder has received injury while he was practicing on the half-pipe, on Thursday in Utah’s Park City.
The reports also indicated that the snowboarder was found unconscious, after he had hit the half-pipe and was immediately transported to the hospital. As stated by the Olympic half-pipe coach of US, Mike Jankowski, Kevin Pearce has been injured while trying to perform an extremely difficult trick, double cork. He had also said that the snowboarder has put in lots of efforts to complete the stunt before suffering the injury. He also stated that the preliminary reports of the medical team indicated that Kevin Pearce has suffered concussion in head.
Apart from the coach, his mother also confirmed about his injury and said that the doctors in Salt Lake City’s University of Utah Hospital have decided to do external ventricular drainage for relieving the fluid clotted in his brain. His fan’s and friends are praying for his fast recovery and are hopeful to be see him back in his old form. However, the doctors have not yet confirmed reports of his present condition and it is not known how long will he take to recover. The snowboarder was preparing for a competition at the Mammoth Mountain in California. However, the injury has ended chances for the competition of next week.
