Kerri Walsh And May Treanor Teams Up After Long Wait On “Shaq Vs”

“Shaq Vs” stars American Basketball star Shaquille O’Neil of the Cleveland Cavaliers. On the show he challenges several top athletes and on Tuesday night ( 9pm., ABC). Shaq took on Women’s beach volleyball champs Misty-Treanor and Kerri Walsh who had teamed up for action on the Hermaosa beach. Shaq is being coached by Serena Williams on matters of ‘psyche’ of women athletes.
May-Treanor and Walsh have not teamed up for sometime until now on the show. The last competitive challenge the two took up as a team was in 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where both of them won gold and came to be known as the great champions of beach volleyball. Kerri Walsh, 30 is two time Olympic gold-medalist.
The former Mitty high and Stanford star brought up in Scott Valley after delivering her baby in May has come back to the Association of Volley Professionals Tour and is playing with Rachel Wacholder.
Walsh is very enthusiastic about her future plans which is not the case with her partner May-Treanor who said that she was not sure when she would be playing with Walsh next as she is still recovering from a leg surgery, after tearing her calf in October last year.
May-Treanor is 2008 USA Volleyball Female Beach Volleyball Player of The Year,and even her husband Matt Treanor, a backup catcher on the Detroit Tigers, is said to have had a hip surgery lately. Walsh also seems eager to tie up with her soon as she told USA Today in the beginning of the month, “I hope to God she comes back and we’ll play together.”
