raceJune 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Americans have kept space in their schedules for other sports as the rest of the world in engaged in the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

The Kentucky Speedway is hosting the Meijer 300, presented by Ritz from June 12, 2010. This is the second race in the Nationwide Series and also considered the second race in the Dash 4 Cash races.

The race belonged to Joey Logano who now has 3 in 3 in Meijer 300 races. With the likes of NASCAR stars Mike Wallace, Willie Allen and Brian Ickler in the same race, the 20-year-old Joey Logano is ecstatic after victory.

Carl Edwards came close to overtaking Joey Logano for some time in the final laps but ended up 2nd in his No. 60 Ford. Brad Keselowski who is also the series point leader finished 3rd in his no.22 Dodge.

Carl Edwards appreciated Joey Logano’s driving and also said that he thought he will go past him. He added that Joey Logano had a really fast car.

Joey Logano led in 106 of the 200 laps in the race in front of the 61,000-strong crowd. The racers were also warned about heavy rains approaching from the west.

The constant warnings slowed down the speed of the race somewhat but the action was still closely fought. Joey Logano went past Brendan Gaughan in the 176th lap. The crew chief called the race a very tough one for the crew and the driver.

He appreciated Joey Logano’s skills. He said that though the race was led by his team for most of the time some of the challengers were quite good and Joey Logano did well to keep them at bay.
