Apr 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In reports just released from BNO News, we have just learned that the president of the Colorado Rockies baseball team was found dead in a hotel room early today- on Tuesday. The hotel was in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

A spokesman for the Salt Lake City police said that McGregor was still alive, but unconscious when he was discovered inside a room at the Grand America Hotel just before 9 am local time this morning. He was forty-eight years old. Although a cause of death has not been released it was said that he seems to have died of natural causes, and the police said that it did not seem suspicious at all.

McGregor was a two time All America tight end for CSU. He also played for two other NFL teams before retiring football. He joined the Rockies in 1993, and quickly climbed up in the ranks to become president on October 18, 2001.

Zac Gilbert, who is a Colorado State University media relations director said that he heard of the death late this morning. A CSU law professor told his class, which included McGregor’s daughter, Jordon, of McGregor’s death. He is survived by his wife, Lori, and four children: daughters Jordan, Taylor, Landri and son Logan. Our prayers are with them at this time.

Although the announcement is not yet on the official team website for the Colorado Rockies, it is most likely to be very soon.
