Kane Williamson to rejoin world cup team
February 11th, 2011 - 12:46 pm ICT by ANIWellington (New Zealand), Feb.11 (ANI): New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson has overcome a chest infection and will leave Auckland tomorrow for India and the upcoming cricket World Cup.
According to stuff.co.nz, the 20-year-old was due to fly out with the rest of the New Zealand team on Tuesday but had his departure delayed by medical staff.He will not make it to India in time for New Zealand’s first warm-up match against Ireland in Nagpur on Saturday but will be with the team in time for a second warm-up match against India in Chennai on Wednesday.
New Zealand’s first group match is against Kenya at Chennai on February 20. (ANI)
