Kamehameha Defeats No.1 Kahuku In State Football Championship

KahukuHonolulu, Dec.05, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In the First Hawaiian Bank Division I state football championship, Kamehameha registered a victory against rival Kahuku, in a much anticipated match that was held at the Aloha Stadium. The No. 1 Kahuku were defeated by the No. 2 Kamehameha by a score of 34-21, in a clash that turned out to be an immensely entertaining experience for the huge crowd that was present at the stadium.

In the match, most of the players of Kamehameha displayed amazing performances that enabled their team to remain in control of the game throughout the match. Quarterback T.C. Campbell managed to deliver three touchdowns and ran for an impressive 183 yards which helped his team to take a lead in the game. Apart from him, running back Ryan Ho also displayed a stunning performance, which managed to score two touchdowns and at the same time ran for 121 yards. Around the third quarter of the game, the Red Raiders took the score to 20-14 after delivering two touchdowns but the Warriors reacted by scoring twice that ultimately allowed them to clinch victory. However, quarterback Evan Moe of Kahuku also gave an impressive performance as he rushed for 138 yards and also delivered two touchdowns.

While reacting to the victory, Kamehameha coach David Strant, Jr., added that since they were clashing against the top team in the state, he wanted the opponents to challenge them so that they could come up with their best game. The victory was all the more special for the coach as this is his first win and for Kamehameha it was their first victory since the year 2004.
